Oceanside sites
This campground is run by the city of Seward. You can book reservations ahead of time online. They offer water/electric sites, full-hookup, and dry sites. The facilities are rustic, but the views and access to all of Seward's attractions easily make up for the older bathrooms onsite.
Playground with a view
Nestled among the campground is an amazing ocean side playground, including a fun skate park next door.
Wildlife
As you sit back and enjoy your view of the ocean, keep an eye out for whales, seals, sea otters and bald eagles.

Camping in a more rustic environment
You can camp among the trees, by the beach with electric or dry camp along the river. The choice is yours at Miller's Landing. They also offer cabin and house rentals if that's more your style.
Amenities
Millers has a great shower house, store and coffee hut with caffeine & snacks to keep you going. You can rent kayaks or take a guided kayak tour from their main office. They also offer whole day or half day fishing charters and water taxi's.

Whether beach combing or hiking is your jam, Miller's has great access to both!

This is always one of our first stops in Seward and yet we've never taken a picture! The Frontier Trading Post is an awesome little market full of organic, environmentally friendly goods. They also have a coffee, smoothie, and sandwich bar.
seward tips
- Seward is a great getaway anytime of the year! While we love camping in the summer, we have also visited Seward in the winter. Miller's Landing has houses and dry cabins for rent all year long. Don't let the snowy weather deter you. The town is quieter and its fun to see it with no tourists!
- Bring all the gear. On any given day you might need sturdy rain boots, a tank top, a fleece or gloves. Rain suits are great for kids. They can play in the rain or just get as filthy as they want on the beach.
- Visit and shop at the local shops. There are some stores that have been here for decades!
- If you have little ones, check out the parks on the Waterfront & 3rd Street.
- The best spot for a family picture is on the balcony of the Sealife Center. We have taken several in this spot over the years.
- The best spot to check out jellyfish is at the marina. Little ones love walking on the docks to check out the boats and the jellies.
- Seward has some awesome hiking areas. If you have lots of energy Mt. Marathon is for you! Every year hundreds of racers race up and down this mountain. Our favorite family hike is the Caines Head Trail. It's a beautiful wooded path that takes you out to the water where you can see salmon swimming upstream.
